Visits

Yesterday, Mommy's friend Stacey and her children came by to visit Owen. He had his first playdate with Sasha who was adopted from the same orphanage as Owen, and Sasha's older sister, Brookelyn. Owen had lots of fun where he learned to share his toys with other babies. Brookelyn taught Owen that when he wants a toy from another child, he has to give a toy to the child he's taking a toy from. We're not sure if he actually got the concept, but hopefully with more visits from Brookelyn, Sasha and Aunt Stacey, Owen will pick up some good habits.

Today, Owen went with Mommy to her doctor's appointment. He behaved very well the entire time. The doctors and nurses were impressed with how well he behaved and thought he hada sweet smile. Initially, he as a little shy...but after a few minutes, he warmed up to everyone and even allowed the nurses to hold him. They fell in love with him when he put his head on each of their shoulders and smiled. Towards the end of the appointment, he acted more like himself when he started grabbing at the knobs and controls on the ultrasound machines!

Since Owen was so good during Mommy's appointment, Mommy and Grandma Truong took him out to lunch at a local noodle house with his Great-Aunt. Owen really enjoys noodles and dumplings.

Here are a couple of pictures from yesterday and today.

Here is Owen waking up from his morning nap yesterday. He took an hour nap before Sasha and Brookelyn's visit, so he was in a good mood the entire visit.
Here is Owen giving Mommy his sweet smile. This is when Mommy mentally decided, "Owen, my baby boy, you can have anything you want in this world!"
Here's Owen trying to climb onto the pillows in his play yard to climb out of it. He looks determined!
Here's Owen when he noticed that Mommy wasn't going to allow him out of his play yard by climbing. She'll let him out, but on her terms.
Here is Sasha having her bottle. Aunt Stacey fed Sasha initially. Then Mommy pitched in while Aunt Stacey took care of Brookelyn and Owen wasn't too happy that Mommy was feeding someone else. He didn't mind that Mommy played with Sasah and Brookelyn from time to time, but feeding someone else is another story!
Here is Brookelyn playing with Owen's snowglobe.
Here are Owen and Brookelyn. The picture is a little blurry because Mommy was in a hurry to snap the picture and didn't wait for the camera to auto focus.

Here is Owen wanting to see what Daddy is doing at his sink in the bathroom.

Here is Owen in the closet at our temporary filing cabinets. He wanted to see what is in the empty gift boxes on top of the cabinets.

Lastly, here is Owen with noodles coming out of his mouth. He really enjoys noodles! We'll be back for more in a couple of weekends!
