Rainy Day in San Diego

It rained in San Diego today, so Mommy and Daddy spent the day with Owen indoors. It's a very relaxing day. Owen stayed in his pj's and explored the house on his walker and when he feels like it, he's been practicing his walking/running to Daddy. Video clip to follow in the next post.

On Thursday night, Owen and Mommy raced up the stairs and Owen won! He was faster than Mommy (yikes!). Daddy will have to work on putting up the baby gate this weekend.

Yesterday, Owen took 3 steps towards Daddy in his play yard. We didn't get that on video, but we have witnesses who will sign affidavits attesting to the fact that Owen did take 3 steps towards Daddy.

Owen has also been clapping on command. He claps when Mommy sings, "If you're happy and you know it." and when you say, "Yeah Owen..."

Here is Owen up from his morning nap. He woke up pretty early this morning at 6:30, had his bottle at 7am and played around until 8:30 when he had a container of banana peach granola cereal. Then, he played in the play yard with Daddy for about 90 minutes and started to show signs he was hungry. So, Mommy prepared a 6 oz bottle for him. He fell asleep in his high chair drinking his bottle. Then, Mommy transferred him to his play yard for a 90 minute morning nap. Since it's a cold day in San Diego, today, Owen stayed warm under his dinosaur blanket his Auntie Phuong in Sacramento made for him for Christmas. He really likes the blanket because it has dinosaurs on it, plus it's big enough for Mommy, Daddy, or Grandma Truong to snuggle up with him under it. He usually wakes up toasty and grinning.
