Mommy made the mistake of sleeping in Owen's room on Monday night and when Owen stirred at 2am, he saw Mommy and insisted that he be taken out of his crib for "playtime" with Mommy. Well, after 45 minutes or so of crawling around and whispering "daddy, daddy, daddy..." (even though it was Mommy who was awake with him), he went back to sleep until 7am.
Anyhow, Mommy learned her lesson and slept in her room last night, but that didn't stop Owen from waking up at the same time last night to "play". Daddy went in to check on Owen when he called us from his room. But wouldn't go back to sleep until Mommy came into his room. Mommy got Owen to lay back down in his crib. He just wanted to hold Mommy's hand through the slats of his crib. Which he did (bit her fingers) for about 30 minutes and then fell asleep again. Mommy quickly went back to her room and at 5am, Owen woke up again. He didn't really cry or anything. He just stirred. And Mommy went to check on him but forgot that she left her glasses on the floor next to his crib, so she couldn't really see him from the doorway, so she had to walk into his room to check him out. As soon as she set foot into the room, he got up from his sleeping position and insisted that she take him out of his crib. Mommy didn't want Owen to wake Daddy with his crying, so she took him out of his crib. Immediately after she put him on the floor with her, he crawled into her arms and went back to sleep until a little after 7am.
Overall, Mommy loves sleeping with Owen, but she also thinks she made a big mistake by sleeping in his room on Monday night. Yikes...we have about 3-4 weeks to correct this before the new baby arrives.
Anyway, here are some recent pictures of Owen.
Here's Owen from Sunday having his bottle. He's very eager to take his bottle at the start of each feeding, but usually after downing 2-3 oz, he loses interest, so it takes us another hour or so before we can get him to finish 4 or 5 oz.
