Owen went down for the night pretty early last night and woke up in the middle of the night to take Mommy hostage. He got up at 3:30am and crawled around in his crib for about an hour. He finally went back to sleep at 5am when Mommy got up to check his diaper and he held on tight to her and wouldn't let go, so she didn't have the energy to fight him, so she brought him to her bed. He fell asleep in the crook of her arm for an hour and eventually rolled onto his pillow and slept for 3 additional hours. He didn't get up until 8am this morning. He woke up and gave Mommy a big surprise in his diaper!
Here's the hostage situation:
Owen stirred at 3:30 but didn't make a noise. Mommy just laid by his crib and pretended to be asleep. Owen also pretended to be asleep, but Mommy can see his eyes blinking through the slats of his crib. Everytime Mommy moved, Owen would stick his head up and seemed to get ready to "call" out to her. So, for an hour, Mommy just pretended to be sleeping while Owen did the same thing. It was kinda funny until Mommy needed to use the bathroom because Owen's little brother was kicking her bladder. The stand-off ended when Mommy just gave in and got up. Owen then, quickly stood up and grinned at her in the dark!
