Visiting Daddy at His Office

Owen had a big day today. Owen, Mommy, and Grandma Truong ventured out of the house with him to pick up some vegetables for dinner (we ran out) and we left the house too early, so this would have left us waiting outside in the Henry's parking lot for at least 10 minutes before the store opened, so we decided to take a quick detour to visit Daddy at his office.

Owen was really excited to see Daddy at the office since Owen didn't get to see Daddy this morning. He woke up after Daddy left for work. Owen got to meet a lot of Daddy's co-workers. But he was being very shy because he didn't know anyone. We're sure he'll be friendlier at his next visit. We plan to go back next Monday when we pick up Daddy from his office so that he could go to Mommy's doctors appointment with her.

Here is Owen sitting on the sofa in Daddy's office. He couldn't believe his luck that he got to sleep in AND see Daddy in the morning too!

Here is Daddy holding Owen. Owen is waving bye-bye at Mommy and Grandma Truong. He thought he was going to get to spend the entire day with Daddy at work!

Here is Owen being held by Grandma Truong after we got home from our short trip to the office and Henry's. Owen was a happy boy all afternoon because seeing Daddy in the morning made his day! Mommy is sure it made Daddy's day too to see Owen.

Here's Owen after he got up from his 2 hour afternoon nap. He was in the kitchen chasing after Grandma Truong when Grandma said, "go to Mommy." He quickly turned his walker around and came to Mommy so that she can take a picture of him.

Here is just a cute picture of Owen Mommy managed to snap as he was turning away from her. He might be tired of being photographed.
Mommy also wants to report that Owen did very well last night sleeping in his crib. He went down shortly after his last bottle. He wanted to sleep with Mommy and Daddy but we didn't give in. He put his head on down after 10 minutes of begging to sleep with us and slept until 2am when he got up to "ask" to sleep with us again. We checked on him, but ignored him after discovering he was okay and he went back to sleep in less than 10 minutes. After this last wake up call, he slept until 7:30 when the closing of the garage woke Owen. He would have continued to sleep, but Mommy was eager to cuddle with him, so Mommy brought him down to the floor to cuddle.
