Lunch with Aunt Minh

Today, Owen had another exciting day. He woke up very very early, so he went down for a long nap earlier than usual. He was asleep by 9am, so he woke up just in time for Mommy and Grandma Truong to take him to lunch with his Aunt Minh.

We went to Shien in Rancho Bernardo near where Aunt Minh works and Owen behaved very well. He sat in his high chair while everyone ate and ate every morsel of food we stuffed in his mouth. He had sushi rice, rice with a touch of terriyaki sauce, and udon noodles.

We came home right after lunch so that we can keep Owen on his nap schedule. And he was a perfect little boy on the drive home. Not a peep out of him. So, Mommy is happy to report that Owen can now ride in his car seat for 20 minutes at a time without screaming. We're working on lengthening the time so that we can take some family trips.

Here are Owen, Aunt Minh, and Grandma Truong shortly before our lunches were brought out. Owen really likes Aunt Minh because she reminds him of his Mommy.

Here's Owen just wanting a little attention. He fell about 2 inches to the floor onto his butt. For about a minute, he just sat on the floor and looked around at Mommy and Grandma Truong. Grandma Truong walked over to him to check to see if he's okay and this is his reaction to the "big fall." Now, does anyone think this kid is seriously hurt?
