just some cute pictures for now

Here are some recent pictures we took of Owen and Dash.

Dash recently had his 9 month check up and he received a clean bill of health from his pediatrician. Dash, at 9 months weighs 19 lbs 4 oz and is 30.5 inches tall. He's at the 25th percentile for weight but is off the charts for height, so his weight to height ratio places him overall in the 75th percentile. Overall, he's a very healthy baby.

At 8.5 months, Dash started taking steps and within a few days of his first step, he took 4-5 steps without falling. He's a very active baby. He was able to climb out of his walker at 8 months, so the walker is totally useless to us at this point. He's taking about 32-36 oz of formula a day and eats 2 solid meals a day.

Dash has such a happy sounding laugh. He enjoys playing with Owen. Some of his activities include snatching a toy or Owen's sippy cup and running away as fast as his skinny legs can carry him (with the help of the baby walker, of course).

Owen, on the other hand is shaping up to be a very good big brother. He shows a lot of affection towards Dash. Sometimes he tries to be a "grown up" by picking up Dash. 100 percent of the time, he's not successful in his attempts to pick Dash up, but his efforts count. He's such a big boy. At his last check up, he's 36 inches tall (almost as tall as Mommy) and weighed 28 lbs 2 oz. That was 2 months ago.

We had a great summer with the boys and look forward to the holiday season. Can't wait for the boys to meet Santa! Stay tuned for those photos. In the meantime, here are some recent pictures of our monsters, I mean sweeties.

Dash likes to play with Daddy's video game consoles. His favorite is the PS3 because it beeps when you turn it on.

Owen's new play yard. 30 inches high and it's doing its job so far of keeping him safely in when Mommy is caring for Dash. Let's see how long this lasts.
