Saturday with Daddy

Daddy has been working long hours during the weekdays and both weekend days these past few weeks, so Owen and Dash missed their daddy dearly. This weekend, Daddy didn't have to work, so we spent Saturday having as much fun as we can cram into a day.

We got up early (not by choice) and went to the Original Pancake House for breakfast. Owen behaved perfectly while Dash contemplated whether or not to make trouble. Luckily, it took him a while to make up his mind that he wanted to cry. We finished our breakfast within 10 minutes of having our plates placed in front of us.

After breakfast, we went to the Quail Botannical Garden and there, Owen, Dash, Daddy and Mommy strolled through the gardens. Then, we went to the children's area so that Owen can roam without getting into too much trouble. Owen's favorite activity was blowing bubbles. He was pretty good at it too!

Owen and Dash went down for their naps at noon and stayed asleep for about 3 hours. After they got up, we went to the new Albertsons in our town center. There, Owen got to eat a cookie while driving his shopping cart, while Mommy and Daddy had coffee. Dash just hung out in the stroller.

From Albertsons, we went to the playground so that Owen could play in the sand and go down the slide. He really enjoyed hanging out with Daddy. On the way back to the car, we checked out the Sprayground where Owen got a chance to run through the sprinklers. That was really fun, so we plan to go back next weekend if the weather is right.
