Owen and Dash are doing great. Owen has grown up so much in the last few months since Dash's arrival. He's very independent and can usually entertain himself so that I can take care of Dash, who still needs a lot of attention. Owen is probably 27-lbs by now and should be at least 35 inches tall. We'll find out at his 15-month appointment with his pediatrician on July 14th. He should see the doctor this month, but we couldn't get an appointment until the 14th of next month. We'll see how much he really weighs and how tall he really is, then.
It's been hot in San Diego, so Rich and I have been taking the boys to the sprayground in the park behind our house on the weekend. Owen really enjoys playing in the water. Dash, well...he just hangs out with Mommy while Owen plays with Daddy.
Dash is doing better in the car. But he still HATES his car seat, so we don't really venture too far from the house. 10 minutes is about all he can handle in the car before he has a meltdown.
We've been to a couple of family gatherings and they've all ended in disasters with Dash screaming at the top of his lungs. He just simply does not like crowds. As for Dash's weight and height, I wouldn't be surprised if he's at least 16-lbs and 26-inches tall. In the last week, Dash rolled over on his own. It didn't take long for him to learn that skill. Additionally, Dash seems to be teething. He's biting and grinding his gums a lot.
Overall, both babies are cuties. Lots of work, but all worth it just to see them smile at us each day.
Here are a couple of pictures from the last few days.
