Owen was sick last night. Mommy and Owen spent part of the night in the Emergency Room of Scripps Hospital of Encinitas. Owen had a fever the entire day ranging from 102-103.7 degrees. We found out he has an ear infection, so we started a course of antibiotics. But at 10:45 last night, Owen's temperature spiked to 105.2 degrees, so I rushed him off to the emergency room. Rich stayed home to watch Dash. After a couple of shots, chest x-rays and blood draws, Owen was sent home with his temperature hovering around 100 degrees. He woke up this morning with a temperature of 102.7, so he got Motrin and Tylenol and over the course of 3 hours, his temperature gradually normalized. It's 2:30pm on Friday right now and Owen and Dash are napping...so, I cleaned the house and now have a little time to post again.
Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband (the boys' wonderful father).

Owen has taken up thumbsucking. So cute...
Dash is excited to have his play pen moved closer to Owen's play yard. Now he can take toys from Owen more frequently if Owen forgets and walks too close to Dash's play yard.

Here's our safety conscious boy wearing a make-shift helmut while riding his trike...notice Dash is following close behind. Several moments later, Dash was able to take that helmut away from Owen.
The only safe place for Owen to rest with a sippy cup while Dash is in his walker. His hiding place is the space between the play pen and play yard. Dash's walker is too big to get into this space.
